Windows Integration

How and where to use

You can use Shell Extensions literally anywhere in Explorer to use the following DAEMON Tools Lite features:

Mount to existing device, Mount to a new DT, SCSI or IDE device, Mount to physical drive, Edit, Burn or Convert image files. Available for all Image files.

Windows Integration

Mount or Create a RAM disk. Create a persistent RAM disk linked to the chosen VHD file. Available for VHD files.

Windows Integration

Mount to existing DT drive, add a new DT drive to mount. Available for all Archive files.

Windows Integration

Mount as Encrypted. Starting from DAEMON Tools Lite 10.7, you can “hide” your encrypted files by changing their extension. DAEMON Tools Lite offers to mount this file anyway. Note that as any encrypted file, it will need a password. Available for all types of files.

Windows Integration

Create an image. Choose files and folders, open the contextual menu and pick this option to create an image file. Available for all types of files.

Windows Integration

Grab a Disc. Choose the physical drive and pick this option from the contextual menu to create an image from disc. Available for all ATAPI physical drives.

Windows Integration

Mount, Unmount or Remove. Choose the virtual drive, open the contextual menu and pick the needed option. Available for all virtual devices.

Windows Integration

Make sure you have set all the file associations correctly, otherwise DAEMON Tools Lite will not be able to define the Shell Extensions a certain file needs. For example, if the *.iso file is not associated with DAEMON Tools Lite — only the Mount as encrypted option will be available in the contextual menu. To check the file associations go to Preferences -> Integration.
