Advanced Mount wizard allows you to choose the drive, mount point, DVD region and adjust other additional parameters while mounting an image or a virtual hard disk.

To use Advanced Mount wizard, you need to actiate the relevant feature. Also, it allows you to create IDE drives and attach them to physical devices.

To go to the advanced settings while mounting an image, choose an image from the Images catalog and check Advanced Mount option from its contextual menu.

Advanced Mount wizard differs depending on the type of the chosen image. If it is a virtual disc, then you will be able to:

  1. Choose virtual or physical drive to mount. If virtual drive is chosen then:
  2. Choose the Type of the virtual drive. Note that some options are available only for SCSI and IDE emulation.
  3. Choose the DVD Region for the protected image.
  4. Choose how to Mount an image:
    • Select a letter if you want to mount an image to Drive.
    • Select a path to the empty folder formatted in NTFS file system if you want to mount an image to Folder.
  5. Check Auto insert notification option to allow the system to get a message about the new virtual disc.
  6. Click Mount button to start mounting or Back button to return to Images catalog.

If you want to mount to physical drive then:

  1. Choose the relevant option on the first step.
  2. Choose the physical device to attach your image to.
  3. Choose the bus type.
  4. Check Media priority option to show which disc — virtual or physical — will be defined by default if both are inserted. 4.
  5. Click Mount button to start mounting or Back button to return to Images catalog.

If you have chosen a VHD, then you will be able to:

  1. Choose where to Mount a VHD:
    • Select a letter if you want to mount an image to Drive.
    • Select a path to the empty folder formatted in NTFS file system if you want to mount an image to Folder.
  2. Choose how to Mount a VHD — as a Removable storage (an optical disk or flash drive) or as Hard Disk Drive (a fixed media).
  3. Choose the Mode to define whether you are able to write some data to the VHD after mounting.
  4. Click Mount button to start mounting or Back button to return to Images catalog.
